I hear that (not managing an email server)!

I was referring to "my" SMTP server as in the one that my email client sends out through. Costs me $2 month through Rackspace and folks, it just don't get better than Rackspace.

What you need is the klaxon or semi-tractor-air-horn accessory...sure to endear your clients and customers!

That's cool...but the SMTP server that my app sends through is my own email account/server (Thanks, Rackspace!) not something provided by the customer.

One of my major career goals is to never have to be responsible for administering an email server that is visible to the internet. That's a headache I don't need.

Maybe I could create a routine that gets triggered if the user's system crashes that pushes an annoying gong sound through the computer speaker every 5 seconds and only I can turn it off--which I would gladly do in exchange for an error report from the user. ;:->
