Anyone have any real world experience in working with MHT files? What
I'm looking for is a list of unexpected 'gotchas' that you ran into when
using this file format.

The only problem I've found so far is that some email systems may block
MHT file attachments. The workaround is to zip MHT files before
distributing as an attachment.

Motivation:

I'm thinking of using the MHT file format to distribute reports with
lots of images (screenshots).

Background:

The MHT file format allows you to pack all files related to one or more
HTML files into a single binary file for ease of transmission. Many
Microsoft products and some open source products (Firebird?) allow you
to create and/or open MHT files.

The MHT file format is actually a RFC standard.

Martin Haluza's XFRX report library for VFP (www.eqeus.com) has an
option for generating MHT files.

Thanks for your feedback,

Malcolm
