=> => Got a call from the Chase Credit Card Fraud Protection unit => (allegedly) on Sunday, asking me to verify purchases made in => Minnesota for my credit card ending in 1234. I checked my => cards and told them that I don't have a card ending in that => number sequence, and that of course the charges were bogus. => => I wasn't comfortable with the fact that somebody in the => Phillipines had access (supposedly) to all of my credit => information. Time to dump Chase, I guess. => => Grrrrrrrrr.......f*cking outsourcing. =>
The most important thing to do in this type of situation is to put your mind at ease. Did you call the number you have for Chase CRM and discuss this? They are just as upset as you are by phishing exploits and the like. I have found that the fraud police are usually spot on. In one case, my wife ordered Speed Pass tags for both of us, using one of her existing charge accounts as the payment. She gave me my tag and took the other one with her to Georgia. She charged stuff in Georgia on the same account and when I tried to use the SpeedPass in New York ... BOING! No deal. And the whole account was shut down for a couple of days.
