Don't know much about your legislation but, doesn't it require that both parties must "know" about the agreement before entering one? If the "agreement" was inside the box then you had no way of knowing about it until *after* you purchased it, so you wouldn't be bound by it. They wouldn't even be able to argue that you should have returned it if you didn't agree because the act of purchasing is already done and you are either bound to the agreement or you are not. If the notice was printed on the outside of the box you might still argue that it should be at least as readable (i.e. same font size) as the device's function (i.e. "web cam") given that you are not required by law to read the fine printing of every package you buy.
