Chromebooks are great little devices if:
1) You are happy living almost completely in the Google ecosystem.

2) You are comfortable configuring Linux (developer mode) and living
without all the tight integration of Google apps and the OS.
I found to get on a VPN (OpenVPN) I had to resort to #2, when everything
else worked just fine in #1. Unfortunately, they are mutually-exclusive
modes. This would have been fine for me but out of the question for my
customer.
