However, homophobic is a hate term, for one thing, and those who use it are confusing fear with revulsion and disgust - with a touch of unrealistic wishful thinking that really, really, the man they are disgusting to is actually one of them. Round them up, put them away - excluded from society and made to do all of society's work, in a nice internment camp.
