Seems it was set to check each time. Though it would do that check on start
up. I have turned that off so will be interesting to see if that solves it

I've also configured it to never check for updates in any of the modules. I
suppose it's possible it's trying to call somewhere that doesn't exist
anymore if you haven't turned off the update check.
