Well, if Microsoft doesn't have a proprietary company to attack (eg 
Linux is not owned by anybody), then Microsoft attacks the users of the 
product, who basically wrote, maintain, and freely share the fruits of 
their labor.

Micorsoft is really having a hard time figuring out how to extinguish 
open source, other than with FUD attacks.  Microsoft so so bad, even 
organization like "Swift Boat Veteran for Truth" could learn a trick or 
two from them.  HaHaaHaaHaaaaa.
