My french is really rusty (and I never learned too much really) but I
seem to recall naif is for singular and naive is plural, but I may be
easily wrong.
I remember an interview in 60 minutes to Condy NoRiceForYou some time
ago. She was told the afghan embargo killed (hunger) some thousands of
children, and was asked if it was worth the cost. She said yes, it is
worth it. This leads to two reflections i) you don't have to have
fishhooks under your nails to be extremely pressured, and ii) you can't
complain if those people decide that killing a few thousands and
thrashing a couple of towers is also worth the cost.
