Hey there Bill, I should have replied sooner to this posting of yours. And, sorry I didn't reply to your response in my own thread about my working with AI. I guess, at the time, I figured you were trying to make suggestions about me using Chillkat - considering it's new capabilities. And, at the time, I figured - why would I need to potentially work with 3 different types of AI.
But, now I realized you were simply sharing about the AI work you were doing on Chillkat - which I can totally appreciate - considering how much I have been working with AI since starting here at Pako. Since we are on the topic of AI (and I don't mean to Hijack your Thread here) - but, thought I would share an ODD situation that happened with Claude lately. So, I had been working with Claude on this one screen I was working on - specifically, the C# & XAML code (and, yeah - this was a good while AFTER I worked with Claude to convert it from FoxPro to C#). And, generally speaking, if I work with Claude to make code changes, or make a good bit of code changes - I will re-upload my code to the Claude project. This way, Claude has access to the current version of my code. But, the other day, after I uploaded my changes to the project - I asked Claude about making further changes. He "supposedly" looked at the code I had uploaded to the project - but, then claimed his last suggested code changes were NOT in the code he was seeing. I was like - Wow - that's really Weird. Initially I chalked it up to an AI hallucination. I actually accused him of hallucinating - and told him the code changes WERE there in the code. He then pushed back and said they were not. So, I took it a step farther. I removed ALL the code from the Project - then only uploaded a Single code file (like just the XAML file - and NOT the CS file). And, then asked Claude to tell me what he saw in the project. I was Shocked to find that he was still seeing Four Files in the project. That made NO sense! But, a little research on the web(yup - this time I used Co-Pilot to Spy no Claude) and it turns out that there was a current known issue. Oddly - the Anthropic Status update page showed NO Current Problems. But, Co-Pilot did indeed reveal there was a known problem - and that a Bunch of folks are reporting the problem - a kind of file caching problem! But, it turns out - I had figured a viable work-around. If I wanted to upload new files to the project - I then needed to start a New Chat session within the Project - and then the new chat session would indeed see the new file updates. Very Strange Indeed... Anyway - that's been my recent FUN Times with my BFF Claude! And - no - he's not REALLY my BFF - it makes for a fun joke. As such, I also don't need to see a shrink about my Delusion of thinking Claude is truly my BFF... Ciao for now, -K ________________________________________ From: ProFox <[email protected]> on behalf of Bill Anderson <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 9, 2025 5:38 PM To: ProFox Email List <[email protected]> Subject: ChilkatVFP Version 1.52 Released Folks, ChilkatVFP version 1.52 has been released.
