I honestly never heard of that term before. I figured maybe it was a video game
reference. I did a search - and I did indeed find this reference:
At age 70, I find myself in a sniper’s alley of heart attacks, strokes,
and cancer.
Although this was the original reference I saw on the Cambridge Dict:
...a street or other place in a war that is very dangerous because there
are people positioned there in order to shoot at people and vehicles that go
