I think it had more to do with whether you compiled with a computer that had
a cd rom drive. There is a program called fixdrive or something like that.
You can run it against an exe and it will remove the d: drive or whatever
drive letter you pass it.

I had the same problem many years ago. I think(?) the solution was to
make sure you compile your FPW 2.6a code from drive C:

If you compile from a different drive you will get the error you
describe.
