Yes, I am in Memphis, TN (part of The South). People saying "soda-pop" in TN
would immediately be labeled as either Yankees or carpet-baggers!

If I recall correctly, you are in Tennessee and I had mentioned "Chiefly
Northeastern U.S., Eastern Missouri, & Southwestern Illinois." on how
they say soda pop.  To me they still sound like they are from the deep
south.
