Nope...didn't make the difference...both columns are set to ReadOnly=.T. 
and Enabled=.F., and yet the columns still get focus when I click on the 
cell.  The cell isn't active, as no cursor shows in it, but the column 
still gets focus. 

I think I'll play around with the BeforeRowColChange event and check the 
Hackers Guide to see if there's a trick there for doing a NODEFAULT or 
something like that to prevent the column focus from changing to 
anything beyond column 1.
