While I would agree Foxbase was a command compatible clone of Dbase, It was
a much superior  product.  Much faster, more stable and multi platform,
which Dbase tried but failed at.

Well, they legally acquired FoxPro, which in turn was a copy of dBase,
so in fact it was Fox Software that 'stole' from elsewhere surely?
