I set up a radio sender for the TV system so the satellite works round the
house but that also works on the same freq as wifi. I have also noticed that
goes mad when the microwave is switched on. So I have wifi, DECT phones and
a TV system plus a wireless doorbell and weather station all fighting for
space. Maybe that’s why my linksys wireless router keep locking up :)
What is the best channel to pick for wifi?

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that microwave ovens and 2.4 Ghz phones will
impede WiFi signals. I have tested that with a WiSpy Spectrum Analyzer
unit, and it is amazing how much bouckground signal noise exists in the
2.4Ghz "unlicensed" spectrum. It can all cause problems. The best signal
seems to be the one where the channel selected is for your WiFi solution is
the one where your WiFi is "shouting the loudest", so to say.
