I think of advertising is more about raising the consciousness of a
product, and not a persuasion to purchase.  (Think infomercial.)

I'd consider a Mac.  OS-X is a very cool OS and the hardware ... sexy.

Car advertising is all about the (sorry for the barfy Vista reference)
"Wow" factor.  Mac and PC advertising; same thing.
