Maybe I'm missing something but once you get to the Valid, haven't you 
effectively left the object? (Assuming that the valid returns .t., of 
course) Why would you expect the interactivechange to fire again?

Turning on event tracking can be quite helpful when you're trying to 
determine the sequence behavior.
