The Milleniam Development Goals at least focused a number of different rich
and poor world groups on a target date and a committment to "make poverty
history". Numbers are hard to come by in the poor world but at least we
know the fastest rate of growth in school enrollment is happening in
sub-Saharan Africa, and the wiping away of African debt by the Gleneagles
summit has allowed African countries to us aid money more effectively. We
are inching toward Bethlehem. Graham.
