Why? Do you plan to deploy finally on W2K/IIS? If not, and your
hardware can support it, a Virtual Machine running Linux, MySQL,
Apache and PHP might do it for you, and it's easy to dump, snapshot or
restore. The other possibility to consider is XAMPP [1], a
self-contained installer that will install the MP tools you're looking
for, also pretty accessibly.

If your final target is Windows and IIS, perhaps you should bite the
bullet and learn your way through the product. It's ugly. The infobase
is a weird way of storing its configuration, and the maintenance
interfaces are pretty strange. If you're looking at deploying
remotely, you'll likely want to upgrade to a more recent version of
IIS, as 6.0 was a radical change in design and configuration. 6.0 is
far more secure than earlier versions, and if you plan to release a
web site, you'll want to use 6.0 or later if you must use IIS.
