A little more than a year ago when my last major contract was up, I decided "I don't want to do this any more!" I'm now a licensed (building) contractor dealing directly with customers, rather than overworked PMs with all kinds of responsibility and little authority to make things happen. I still do some geek work, but buying and selling houses is more fun.
