Take a look at http://www.fiforms.org/ I've used the "framework" to generate
data entry screens onto MySQL and its good. I'd describe it more as a
collection of classes as opposed to a full blown framework though. The
documentation is good and most of all it is open source and free.

A friend has asked if I'd create a data entry website using PHP for a 
small project he's working on.

Although I've dabbled in php and read a book or two, I don't feel 
like re-inventing any wheels if there are some good frameworks out 
there that are easy to use. Does any one have any experience or 
recommendations?
