It's not disproportional influence... it's influence of any kind as without the
electoral college the smaller states would be totally ignored. This was more
of a problem when the unions were stronger as it just took a few extra votes
for the unions to swing the votes of an entire state. That was when I
questioned the electoral college. The so-called elites look at these states as
'fly-over country'. We don't have to join them in dissing these states.
