I guess I don't have to use drive letters. Back in VFP3 I tried to
pack a table opened with USE \\server\share\table.dbf and the table
completely vanished. I repeated the exercise several times. I've
avoided that syntax ever since. I reported it to someone during a
conference back then and it was fixed quickly, but I don't trust it.

How does that work with the DBC?
