So what's the rule about replying to a post, like this one, that starts to
stray off the original topic. If it qualifies for OT or NF now .. should I
change the subject line when I reply?

Cathy -- just so you know (before Mike slams you) -- there's a certain 
level of discipline required in Subject posting....[NF] means technical 
stuff but not Fox; [OT] means not-fox, not-technical (basically anything 
goes), but otherwise, no such [] subject preface is for Fox stuff only, 
and if you post too many strays out of those bounds, you get dinged by 
the self-proclaimed list police.  (jk...it's really anyone...I like to 
charge people a $1 to be mailed to Kevin Cully's FoxForward scholarship 
fund.)
