Should someone put themselves in a position of being killed by a person
defending themselves, they only have to look in the mirror to see the one
giving authority to take their life. The difference between myself and gun
control freaks is that if someone breaks into my home and puts my family in
danger... I recognize no rights on their part. They can either lay down and
wait for the police or suffer worse consequences. I'd prefer not to shoot them
and get blood on the carpet, but I would not have been the one who broke in to
endanger other people. The gun control types would rather the innocent victim
be perforated with a bullet or knife than the guilty party... so, I can see who
my friends are and who are the friends of the criminal.
On the other hand, I could ask the intruder to have a seat and wait while I
call for a police officer to come and protect me. Somehow that approach
doesn't usually work.
