That's never a good sign. They weren't really interested in having a
mutually beneficial relationship, were they?

I had a contract like that last year with a company that hired and canceled
my contract FOUR TIMES. I needed work so I worked for them even under the
lousy terms.

Now I wonder if I might have done better to let it go... But there's no way
to know that now. I have contacted other places about projects and haven't
got much in the pipeline. But my web sites are continuing to pull in a bit
more money each month. That's really where I want to go anyway.
