I harbor no such illusions. This year it is a choice between two _very_ evil
evils.

I'm not even sure McCain would be any less radical on the policy positions
that can really muck up the economy (I'm thinking here of his idiotic
support of 'global warming' accords), let alone civil liberties
(McCain-Feingold reveals his establishment contempt for free speech and
competition).

I can't work up any enthusiasm _for_ McCain at all. Other than a vague sense
that his age and experience _ought_ to count for something over The
Messiah's chorus of empty clichés I really don't trust his instincts any
more than Obama's.
