You never know how things will work out. You can't put a Justice in a nutshell and say this justice is liberal/progressive and another justice is conservative. On any issue each justice will fall somewhere along a continuum between very conservative and very progressive depending on the issue. Therefore, it is very possible that a progressive justice is could be nominated, and eventually appointed, to the Supreme Court, that will uphold our 2nd amendment rights.
I'm sure Obama's nomination would be based on the qualifications of a candidate to the Supreme Court, rather than a litmus test whether the candidate is pro or anti 2nd Amendment rights.
