My application opens up a dbf on a network. The dbf is contained in a dbc. When I open up the table on a network shared drive and the dbc is not opened it normally opens up when you open the table and does not cause any problems.
My customer compressed all of the files on their network drive. This is a major corporation that contracts with a major computer company for their IT support. The problem is now when my application opens up the table I am getting a file access denied message. If I go into the application, open the dbc and then open the table; there is no problem. I haven't had a chance to open the database in the app to try it yet. That will be kind of involved. But I was wondering what you folks felt. Could it be a timing issue?
