Nope, they don't rely on it. I need it when I have doubts or need to 
google something when programming. Problem is the admins are not 
knowledgeable blokes, so when in doubt they block everything. I think 
they haven't blocked twitter just because they don't know about it. I 
was hoping to find an http workaround in order to be able to get my mail 
at work. Currently I get my mail at home and then read it at work.
