I think the mystique of Jap Quality is over rated in the past 10
years.  Sorry but I have know a bunch of people who have had trouble
with Honda and Toyota new vehicles since 2003,4,5 model years.

They were all repeat buyers and felt that the replacement car they got
was substandard to the one they traded it in initial quality.

The translation was cheaper initial parts that the factory was using.

I blame the buyers for not only OEM but also aftermarket sellers.
they have saved a nickle here and 25.00 there and have brought the
accepted quality of parts down a notch.
