The only thing I use Safari for is during the initial setup or reinstallation of a Mac, to test an Internet connection if it seems a FireFox connection to the Internet has died, and to access firefox.com to download and install FF as my default browser. Other than that I really find no use for Safari.

Why didn’t you go after IE or Safari? It’s really simple. Safari on the Mac is easier to exploit. The things that Windows do to make it harder (for an exploit to work), Macs don’t do. Hacking into Macs is so much easier. You don’t have to jump through hoops and deal with all the anti-exploit mitigations you’d find in Windows. It’s more about the operating system than the (target) program. Firefox on Mac is pretty easy too. The underlying OS doesn’t have anti-exploit stuff built into it. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer Web and Windows Development Independent Contractor Memphis TN 901.246-0159 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/c4313dbe0903200806i102696eub705d4d30ee6f...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
