Al, I sublclassed the registry class into one called registry_binary and added the code cited in your link. It worked PERFECTLY (or at least appears to on my machine!). MANY THANKS FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER (and thanks to Mike Stewart as you acknowledged). Now to test it on the test-pc.
