Rodney,
What exactly do you mean by "Patch Your Environment"? if you mean load the
fixes for SP2 or SP1 then generate the setup then yes, that is exactly what
you do.

Ideally though, regen the program executable although this isn't strictly
necessary. Rick Schumer would be better off giving you a definitive answer
as he has shown how to run SP1, SP2 versions of VFP concurrently.

In my case I have done exactly what you are going to do won many sites
without a regen of the exe and so far so good...even though I don't know if
I have just been lucky. After all the exe isn't really an exe it is simply
pseudo code in disguise.

Rick ...over to you!

Subject: Using Inno Setup to deploy VFP runtimes

I'm a bad programmer, and I haven't updated any of the runtimes for VFP
9 for an app. I have an Inno Setup installer that just does the
runtime. If I patch my environment and rebuild the setup, will that be
good enough to get the users of the app up to date?

Regards
Rodney
