The Democrats staged the most elaborate---and successful---bloodless coup ever attempted by electoral means last year.
On every level, with uncanny coordination, determination and manipulation, whether rifling through Joe the Plumber's private files, or manufacturing a phoney scandal about Palin's wardrobe or firing someone who served at her pleasure, even if she did do it because he wouldn't discipline a dangerous thug masquerading as a state trooper who actually threatened her family---all of it was nothing short of remarkable to watch. The sheer magnitude of electioneering that ACORN and related groups perpetrated, without any negative consequences whatsoever, boggles the mind. The sudden draw-down of American money market funds on Sept 18, 2009, which I would bet my last dollar is connected somehow to George Soros, who has a track record of wrecking national economies by the way, set the stage for Obama's slim but nonetheless real victory, and this insane deficit spending spree that can by no means be justified based on economic reality. And they keep winning even as tax scandal after tax scandal bounces off the national windshield like an insignificant bug. Why is Charlie Rangle still in charge of tax law? Why is tax cheat Timothy Geithner in charge of the IRS? I recall when Bush fired a few attorneys who by definition "serve at the pleasure of the President" -- the scandal that the Dems orchestrated was full-throated and actually managed to become a PR problem for Republicans. But Obama by some unexplained authority can fire the CEO of a private company over the heads of Congress and that company's board of directors and shareholders, and why, that's a bold, great move, even though everyone knows it was just a symbolic act and Wagoner was just a "sacrificial lamb" (Gov. Granholm's words). When are people going to wake up? I fear it's getting late. The damage is already quite possibly irreparable. Obama has tripled the deficit in two months, and has set into motion an expansion of governmental power that more than borders on the tyrannical. - Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On > Behalf Of Pete Theisen > Sent: Thursday, April 02, 2009 9:13 AM > To: ProFox Email List > Subject: [OT] NOW they tell us > > Hi Everybody! > > http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/02/us/politics/02stevens.html?ref=us > > The application to throw out the conviction of Mr. Stevens will almost > certainly be ratified by the court at a hearing scheduled for next > Tuesday.
