I'll give you some pointers, but be very careful to provide the fully 
qualified path to the top level directory when using the rm command the 
following attributes.  The following command will remove all files in 
the specified directory, and all other subdirectories and files under it:

rm -rvf /usr/local/somedirectory/*

Where r is for reclusive, v is for verbose and f is for force.
