People are being brutally shot and beaten in Iran fighting for freedoms we not only take for granted but no longer really want, our currency and credit rating as a nation are being devalued by insane inflationary deficit spending policies, Congress is about to pass (today!) the most massive, regressive and confiscatory tax ever attempted by a US Congress without so much as reading the 1,200 page Rahm-rodded bill, but we're going to dwell obsessively 24/7 now on the life of a handsome young black man who grew up to become an ugly white woman with a "thing" for small boys, just because he gave people "pleasure" with a few hit songs twenty years ago.
