Leland, if you want to do serious research into Arab-Israeli issues, I'd 
suggest one of the first books you obtain/read would be "Myths and Facts" 
by Mitchell G. Bard.

Yes he is definitely pro-Israel (and I don't believe he tries to hide that 
fact). The main thing I liked about his book was his attention to detailed 
reference material. In other words, he cited the sources of his information 
so that anyone could verify his statements. It's truly sad that most 
journalism of the day doesn't follow the example of this book.

I just found out you can examine the content for free at the following web 
site (it includes the detailed references I noted above, so it should be a 
great resource for research):
