Greetings: I would like to share a little story with you. For background, my wife was a die hard Windows person and is a web developer by profession and I have been doing FP since 1992.
Two weeks ago we bought our first Mac. We absolutely love it! We were told by the sales guy at Mac Media that we would get the upgrade for free since it is coming out in two weeks. I have been in a lot of Mac stores and Mac Media stores I would have to characterize the person that told us this as very professional and knowledgeable compared with the rest of the salespeople we have seen. He was promoted and the store denied the free upgrade. They said we had to pay the $29 for the upgrade. We went on the Apple website and they offered the upgrade to us for $10 but we had to fax our credit card to them. "Fax our credit card to them" was not acceptable to us in this day and age. I appealed back to Mac Media and they said "their hands were tied". Finally I used a few buzz words like "we are long time Windows users"; "this is our first Mac", "I've heard Mac Media will take care of you"; "No wonder you guys don't have the market share your products deserve" and the "knows a lot more about computers than I do" salesperson went to talk to his manager. Well, we are going down to the Mac store and are getting the upgrade for $10 from Mac Media. As someone recently said to me "This is no way to run a railroad."
