Hi Allen Its not coming from a menu. A Desktop alert comes up saying "Message from Allen --- Hi" then, next line "Click here to see message." If no Message Form then fine but if user forgets and the form is already open it opens another instance. Form can't be model as they need to have other forms open and in use. So to add to my original message. If its open I want to stop another instance and bring the form to the front. Otherwise start the form and bring to the front.

I came into the project after the IT people had started it but with no programming experience were making a complete hash of it. They made it very difficult for me to work at the start as they felt I was going to make trouble for them by telling the management what crap programmers they were. For example it was many weeks before they gave me my own computer. I had to work on whatever computer wasn't being used at the time. Eventually I was given a desk with a computer and a login. Switched the computer on and there was the user name allocated to me "phart". I was told when I complained, "Company policy", first letter of the first name and then the last name. Don't complain think about another Employee on the Company called Peter Enis. Of course I wasn't a bit concerned at the user name really, I had got used to it from an early age, "Harty Pharty" and "Heart Throb" being some of the nick name as a child. I got home that night and told Carol. Next day switched on my computer and there was my User Name "phart" so its stuck. By the way I would never have called there programming and some of the ideas they had used, I still use today, like the "Shoot the programmer" in an error trap that should never happen.
