FWIW, I am still using VFP (v-9 SP1) for some of my commercial service apps, and a nice mix with PostgreSQL where I need some scaling. It all seems to work well enough, and the processes I run are on my own machines - so no need for me to chase new OS platforms with client PCs. Most of my commercial service apps run on a Win 2000 Pro SP4 platform under a bank of VMware virtual machines hosted on VMware ESXi equipped Servers. It kicks ass. But, it pales in comparison to the technical accomplishments John pulled off with his license plate scanning app. John, congrats again.
