[NF] Printing Black Only with Empty Color Cartridge

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a Series.



I print in Black only.  I have set the printer in Properties [Printing
Shortcuts]


   * [Fast/Economical Printing] * 
   * [Print in Grayscale] = [Black ink only] * 

Problems:


   * Color cartridges have emptied anyways * 
   * With empty cartridges, this All-in-One refuses to print. *
