I joined a navy vets group awhile back on linked in and wanted to share a
message that came across today with ya'll because this is typical of the
response that people send me all the time when they discover my site.

I'm well aware that some think I'm whining because I discuss the skeleton in
our closet, but I believe that if we ignore what is happening it is going to
get worse and i'm going to do my part to help these people no matter what it
takes because they, at least most of them, have families to take care of and
they are Americans and they did their part to provide the freedom that we take
for granted and simply because as fellow Americans, they deserve better.

b.. Subject: New comment (57) on "I am fighting mad (a figure of speech,
really) about not having a job!"
I can emphasize with most here. Lost 30 year career position 3 years ago, and
been looking since. I am 54. No one will give me the time of day. I am well
versed and experienced in Technology, Electronics & IT, and can DO many other
roles. As others have stated, my only "crime" was joining the Navy instead of
College, that and also thinking I had a career. To the Career coaches and HR
people here that are repeating the "there's plenty of jobs" refrain. Please.
That is total and utter BS - no offense to my HR and CC friends. I am/was doing
all of the "right" things, networking extensively, have a professional resume
(600 bucks down the drain), and have been "counseled" by plenty all for
absolutely nothing. I have recently just given up, and I am waiting & simply
existing for whatever happens to drive the final nail. Bitter? Me? You-betcha
:-)
