Stephen, Is in an SSL connection? An update on Vista/2003 Server once caused SSL connections to corrupt larger binary files being sent through an SSL encrypted email. It would be the implementation of the encryption on the server/client side causing the problem. That's just been my experience, your problem could be far from that.
