I don't like the annoyances either.
Select the "thisfrom." you have on the custom tab.
Click Edit to change the fields to the following
TYPE = U
EXPANDED =
CMD = {stmthandler}
DATA = THISFORM~
Leave everything else the same.
This should leave you at the carat here. THISFORM^
My thought is, if the . did not bring up intellisense, space and . again.
If you see that it adds a line, remove the line return after THISFORM~
