I assume your code is in the Click() method for each button.
The problem I see is, for the Cancel button, how does the object know 
whether the call is 'running' or not?  It's completely separate from the 
one you instantiated in button 1.  oSkype has a Start() method, but 
doesn't seem to have a Cancel() method (or is that what .Finish() does?

I'd suggest moving oSkype up so the same object is visible to both 
controls.  Then the Cancel can just say

    if not oSkype.Client.isRunning
        ..........

Might also want to
    if vartype(thisform.oSkype) <> "O"
       <tell user there's no call to cancel>
