Avoid Linksys. Oh wait, you have a WRT54 too, so you already know that.

I had good luck with my last one, it may have been a NetGear but I'm not
sure. I am not using anymore, as I received a modem/router combo when I
moved back into my LA house (DSL: woof! Long story...) It's a couple
years old, but I have no need for it if you're interested. I'll get the
model # tonight when I get home if you like.

Subject: [NF] Looking for new router

My netgear fvs318 router developed some malidies and has caused me all
kinds of grief. I'm looking for a replacment. In the meantime I
switched it out with an old linksky wrt54gsv4 i put in the closet 7 or
8 years ago.

Some features I was using on the fvs318:

Blocked various Dos attacks, etc.

Logged system, local, wan, and alerts, which were emailed to me.

8 ethernet 10, 100 ports.

Wireless.

Port forwarding.

Predetermined dhcp ip adrdess based on mac address.

Regards,

Lelandj
