Passive solar combined with photovoltaic can be very efficient. I met a man in Colorado who ran his ranch on Solar and Wind power. He had a wind mill generator and solar panels that stored energy in some massive batteries. He also had a big diesel generator that he used when he had to. He was so far off the grid, he didn't have much choice. I stayed at his ranch for a week while elk hunting. He had a very nice place, but they didn't burn any lights unnecessarily.

This seems way more efficient than photovoltaic. --- On Mon, 12/20/10, Stephen Russell <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Stephen Russell <[email protected]> > Subject: [OT] Tech Jobs in Green Energy > To: "ProFox Email List" <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, December 20, 2010, 4:27 PM > I live by the Sharp plant here and > they are opening up a sales > department for the solar panels they make. > > <http://tinyurl.com/37q648h> > > There is free energy all we have to do is capture it > better.
