Thanks Michael That's going to be the next headache. There doesn't appear to be any shortcuts for 1/3, 2/3 or 1/8 etc I'm guessing this is because they don't appear in the Windows Western character set, they are in the Unicode set though. Still need to work out how to give him the rest of these fractions if it is possible. How long has the UK been metric exactly...!!? Don't you just love customers. G

No client, that I can think of, will type the keystroke combos in order to directly enter them not would I expect them to. ::michael On Dec 21, 2010 6:21 AM, "Tracy Pearson" <[email protected]> wrote: > Graham Brown wrote on 2010-12-21: >> Hi all >> >> One of my clients has asked why he can't input fractions into a >> product description field so something like "3/4 round bar". >> >> When I type this in Word it formats to a smaller font with the 3 above >> the 4 like a normal fraction I guess. >> >> I think it is probably to do with codepages but I can't see anyway to >> do this. >> >> Anybody got any clues please. >> >> Regards >> > > Graham, > > Using the Windows Character Map program.
